Will I be covered by my BCBSIL HMO plan if I’m away for more than 90 consecutive days?

If you or a covered family member will be temporarily living outside of Illinois for 90 days or more, you may be eligible for guest membership in a Blue Cross and Blue Shield-affiliated HMO. In some circumstances, moving can also qualify you to be able to enroll in a new plan in your new location.

You can call the customer service number on the back of your ID card or submit a ticket online to find out if your plan covers you when living outside Illinois and to discuss all your options.
