It’s the Annual Election Period and everyone from your insurance company, the agents and commercials on television, your friends and family, to the mail is telling you you NEED to switch medicare plans.

Everyone can make a change before the open enrollment deadline
Fact:
The Annual Election Period(October 15th to December 7th) primarily applies to individuals looking to make changes for their Part D prescription drug coverage(PDP plan) or Medicare Advantage Plan(MA or MAPD plan) If you would like to make changes to your medigap plan, carriers in most states will require you to go through medical underwriting.
Myth:
Everyone should change or needs to change their plan
Fact:
You should review your plan to see if the doctors, hospitals, and medications you are currently taking, and any services you are receiving are covered under your plan. You should also see if the plan premium and cost for services will be more than you can afford.

If you are unhappy you can switch anytime
Fact:
