My Aetna plan is being discontinued, will Aetna automatically enroll me in a new plan?

Members need to re-enroll each year. An active member’s end date is always December 31 of the current year.

  • If Aetna map a member to a similar plan, they would be automatically enrolled for the next year or they could choose to enroll in a different plan. In the member did nothing in this case, they would be automatically enrolled in the Aetna plan mapped for them.

If Aetna discontinues a plan and do not map a member to a new plan, the member must actively enroll in a new plan if Aetna still have plans available in their area. If Aetna does not offer plans in your area, you can get a quote to find every plan available in your area.
