I Submitted My On-Exchange Application. What Happens Next?

Submission to Healthcare.gov

Once you have submitted an application through the our site, it is sent to Healthcare.gov. From there, Healthcare.gov communicates the plan elections to the insurance companies.

Payments

Once you have submitted an application, you can pay your first month’s premium through healthcare.gov To do this, log in to your Healthcare.gov account. Once you log in, you’ll need to look up the application you are wanting to pay for. Select the application and then click “Pay Your First Premium” to be redirected the the insurance company’s payment website.

ID Cards

Once you have submitted an application and the applicant has paid the first month’s premium, the insurance company will generate and mail ID cards. Some insurance companies will email you a copy of your temporary ID as soon as it’s available. If you need help getting your ID card, send us an email at [email protected].
