I Can’t Afford Health Insurance. What Do I Do?

Don’t panic. There’s likely affordable options out there, you just haven’t found them yet. And if you haven’t, any of our licensed health insurance agents would be happy to help.

1. Subsidized health insurance. If you make under a certain income level, there’s a very good chance you qualify for a subsidy on the exchange. Our plan-finder will help you find out, and is easier to use than hc.gov.

2. Catastrophic Health Plans. If the exchange is too expensive for you, a cheaper catastrophic or short-term health plan may be right for you. While they don’t usually cover things like regular doctor’s visits, they will protect you in the event of an accident or bad diagnosis.

3. Medicaid. If you have little or no income, you may qualify through a state agency. Learn more here.
