Bright Health offers 10 plans in Illinois, on and off the health insurance marketplace. They offer Catastrophic, Bronze, Silver, and Gold plans.
Best for: Those under age 30 who desire low premiums and expect minimal medical incidents. Coverage includes 3 primary care visits, then no other benefits until the maximum out-of-pocket is reached.
Catastrophic – Three (3) $0 Primary Care Visits – $8,550 individual deductible and 0% coinsurance
Best for: Healthy individuals who want to minimize their monthly premiums and are comfortable with the risk of a higher deductible in the event of a high-cost health incident.
Bronze 8550 – $8,550 individual deductible and 0% coinsurance.
Bronze $0 Primary Care – $7,000 individual deductible and 0% coinsurance.
Bronze $0 Medical Deductible – $0 / $4,950 Rx individual deductible and 50% coinsurance
Bronze 7000 HSA – $7,200 individual deductible and 50% coinsurance
Best for: Those who expect to use their plans occasionally, and would like lower deductibles and more benefits than a Bronze plan. Also eligible for lowered copays and deductibles when you qualify for Cost Sharing Reductions on the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Silver 3000 – $5,000 individual deductible and 40% coinsurance
Silver 5000 – $3,000 individual deductible and 40% coinsurance
Silver $0 Primary Care – $0 individual deductible and 40% coinsurance
Silver $0 Deductible – $6,700 individual deductible and 40% coinsurance
Best for: People who expect to use their coverage often: ongoing prescriptions, frequent provider visits, etc. Most benefits have copays, so costs are more predictable.
Gold 1000 – $1,000 individual deductible and 20% coinsurance
